What is Gold Vermeil?

Vermeil (pronounced ver-may) refers to jewellery that is sterling silver plated with gold to a thickness of between 2 and 3 microns. Using sterling silver as a base and plating with double the thickness of commercial “flash plating” produces a more resilient layer of gold that doesn’t wear away and ensures our jewellery is hypoallergenic. We use 18 karat gold in our plate.

Delivery & Returns

We offer free delivery in the UK when you spend over £150. Quite right too.

If it is in stock, we are ready to ship immediately. Standard delivery is 3-5 days, but if you need it sharpish, we have the option for next day delivery at checkout.

Pre-order items will take approximately 3-4 weeks. We will keep you up to date on expected delivery.

You can return your Motleys for free within 14 days. Earrings are non-returnable for hygiene reasons (at the moment - we're working on a clever solution for this).
