About the Designer

Sian Evans was the first designer to join the MOTLEY mission. An award-winning British jeweller and former senior lecturer at Central Saint Martins, her designs are inspired by her love of art, design and technology. Sian’s statement collection for MOTLEY gets the balance just right: strong, geometric, yet beautifully wearable. Check out more of her work here.

What is Gold Vermeil?

Vermeil (pronounced ver-may) refers to jewellery that is sterling silver plated with gold to a thickness of between 2 and 3 microns. Using sterling silver as a base and plating with double the thickness of commercial “flash plating” produces a more resilient layer of gold that doesn’t wear away and ensures our jewellery is hypoallergenic. We use 18 karat gold in our plate.

Delivery & Returns

We offer free delivery in the UK when you spend over £150. Quite right too.

If it is in stock, we are ready to ship immediately. Standard delivery is 3-5 days, but if you need it sharpish, we have the option for next day delivery at checkout.

Pre-order items will take approximately 3-4 weeks. We will keep you up to date on expected delivery.

You can return your Motleys for free within 14 days. Earrings are non-returnable for hygiene reasons (at the moment - we're working on a clever solution for this).
