Gold Bird With A Pearl EarringsMotley x Estelle Dévé
The Story of the Piece
Inspired by painter and jewellery designer George Braque's iconic birds, these earrings bring together polished 18 karat gold vermeil with a perfectly irregular baroque pearl. Designer Estelle Dévé calls on the freeform shapes of modernism to create a pair of earrings that feel as much art as they do jewellery.
Every piece of Motley jewellery comes beautifully packaged and gift-ready, with its own free travel pouch and polishing cloth.
About the Designer
French designer Estelle Dévé’s passion for design started in childhood. Inspired by her aunt who designed jewellery for Chanel under Karl Lagerfeld, Estelle set up her eponymous label in 2008 in Melbourne. A self-taught designer, Deve is known for her experimentation with new techniques and cross-disciplinary practices.
Dévé's collection for Motley brilliantly riffs on the best of contemporary art. Inspired by 20th century artist heavy-weights, well known motifs from artists like Braque, Brancusi and Hepworth transform into gloriously wearable jewellery. Featuring charms, hoops and chunky chains, these mini-sculptures are the best kind of art collecting.
