French designer Estelle Dévé’s passion for design started in childhood. Inspired by her aunt who designed jewellery for Chanel under Karl Lagerfeld, Estelle set up her eponymous label in 2008 in Melbourne. A self-taught designer, Dévé is known for her experimentation with new techniques and cross-disciplinary practices.
Dévé's collection for Motley brilliantly riffs on the best of contemporary art. Inspired by 20th century artist heavy-weights, well known motifs from artists like Braque, Brancusi and Hepworth transform into gloriously wearable jewellery. Featuring charms, hoops and chunky chains, these mini-sculptures are the best kind of art collecting.
